With over fifteen years of experience in IT, Dicks has successfully designed and implemented many mission critical information systems. At Revelant, Dicks' primary focus is application architecture, integration, design, and development, with an emphasis on service-oriented architecture.
Prior to Revelant, Dicks was with Allegiant Technology Group and its successor, Seurat Company. He was the integration architect for a multi-site call center application for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. He integrated Oracle/Siebel with seven different claims processing applications hosted at sixteen nationally distributed data centers. This allowed the call center agents real-time access to beneficiary medical information through a single, uniform interface.
Doug was the technical architect for the order-processing engine at the Home Shopping Network. Dicks also designed and implemented interfaces among call center applications, including Oracle/Siebel, and various external systems including telephony devices, mainframe business systems, and fax/email systems.
Before joining Allegiant, Dicks was a Senior Systems Engineer with EDS where he pioneered the design and development of large multi-tiered client-server applications. His other responsibilities included establishing "best-practices" for software development and delivering formal education on a variety of technical subjects. Dicks holds a B. S. in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
